Get to know Detour’s new coach Jamie Sternke

Being active and helping others are two of my passions. I find joy in helping others work towards and accomplish goals they have set for themselves. I believe that it is important to instill an authentic relationship where members know that I care about them and their individual pursuits. Fitness has been a support for me, a fun way to improve myself, and even a form of therapy. I appreciate every new chance that I have to help others discover what fitness means to them.

A key goal of mine as a CrossFit coach and personal trainer is promoting a supportive and inclusive community. I find joy partnering with others in their pursuit of fitness, empowering them to overcome adversity in all areas of life.

Personally, I reside in Rochester with my husband, Adam, and our two children. You will find me at Detour (almost) every day, changing class times up to meet as many people as I can, as well as competing in various running races and CrossFit competitions.
